Doug Williams is a gifted pianist/vocalist whose background includes stage performance, musical theatre, supper club dance bands, piano bar, and 10 years as principal pianist at the Ritz-Carlton, Naples, Florida.  Performing since the age of 5, his repertoire includes over 1,500 songs.  

This skilled and seasoned entertainer welcomes requests of your favorite songs. From soft jazz favorites, light classical, a vast array of Broadway and show tunes, the most popular standards from the American songbook, and practically everything in between, the musical versatility of Doug Williams is unsurpassed.

After first appearing in the Cape May area with the legendary band "Now & Then", Doug moved his home base to Florida’s Gulf Coast, soon establishing himself as the area's premier pianist/vocalist.  His Florida credits include ten years as principal pianist at the five-star Ritz-Carlton, Naples, as well as an engagement with the show orchestra aboard Royal Caribbean’s "Majesty of the Seas". He has served as accompanist for Ms. Carol Lawrence in concert and as musical director for Bob McGrath’s "Sesame Street Revue".  This fall Doug will be a featured entertainer during the 15-day Transatlantic crossing of NCL's "Norwegian Dream".

Hailing from Somerset, Pennsylvania, he began private piano study at the age of five, and majored in voice and piano in the Bachelor of Music Performance program at Pennsylvania’s West Chester University.  A diverse entertainer, skilled accompanist and music coach, he is regarded as one of the finest and most versatile contemporary pianist/vocalists.

Doug has also earned recognition for his work in sacred music at various churches, and as a vocal coach and rehearsal accompanist for high school and professional musical theatre productions.  Currently Doug accepts students for piano & vocal coaching on a limited basis.  

Doug Williams continues to entertain and delight audiences with his unique and sophisticated style.  His long-awaited new CD, "CANDLELIGHT & COCKTAILS", released on June 26th, 2003, can now be ordered on the "CD" page of this website, along with Doug's popular solo piano CD, "PURE PIANO".   (Both are available also on cassette tape.)  

Doug resides in SW Florida with his family, and during the summer and early fall season performs at ALEATHEA'S, a fine dining establishment located at The Inn of Cape May in historic Cape May, New Jersey.  This year's Cape May season begins on Friday, June 27th and continues through Saturday, October 4th, 2007, and this year Doug will be entertaining FIVE nights a week, Tuesday through Saturday.    

(Since the 2007 Cape May season, Doug has returned to Florida, where as Club Pianist he entertains the members of LaPlaya Beach & Golf Club on Vanderbilt Beach, Naples, FL.   The "Season Finale" night at LaPlaya Club will be Saturday, May 31st, 2008, and Doug will return to the Club on Friday, October 24th, 2008....)
